...you're a 21 year old bloke about to go into the army and you suddenly discover that after nearly 2 months and a discussion about horses privates that you're the only guy in your guild that old and the rest are 14-15 years of age, all live in another continent, and at the end of the day, to be honest, you shouldn't really be hanging out with peeps so young?

I know I do. Time for me to get a new guild me thinks.

i feel the same way when i'm with 21+ year olds. Heh. i'm 17 and female, the total minority, so it's a totally different story for me. i'm talked down to and stuffs. ,_, i dunno, i believe a person should unite with others their age to share experiences and relate, etc.

Well, I normally don't invite people, especially without playing with them or at least talking to them, but if you're in need of a guild, then the one I'm in is open.

Or, if you're into the absolute gameplay experience itself and you happen to "role-play" your character -- my cousin's Guild (the one I'm in) is open as well.

My cousin is a little weird, though -- he's not going to invite anybody unless they roleplay their character. Talk about it being pointless to have a Guild, then. I hardly see anybody roleplaying!

But to bring this post back into a looping, ranting circle -- if you roleplay, the Orphic Circle is open.

I'm a generally well-liked guy, but it all depends. I'm a random, gutter-minded (although I can keep that contained) freak, but people still enjoy my company. I don't get it. I get along with all ages as well.

Eh I'm 17 and the older ones like me, and the younger ones are either weird, immature, or morons to me. I guess that can happend no matter what age though.

I'm fourteen and don't understand why if you have already been in the guild with them for however long you have just because they're fourteen or so you want to leave. Did that make any sense to you cause prof readin it sounded wierd?

Our guild is a mish-mash. Mostly adults, but we have a 16 and a 14 and 12 year old, all three of which are siblings who play with their aunt in the guild with us.

We get along fine.

I guess it depends. Most fourteen year olds tend to be little annoying pricks, some don't. You just have to notice how mature they act for their age.

i really dont care who i play with age wise, as long as they are not young enough to be morons, or old enough to have a stroke everytime we are attacked.... aside from that, age, country, or ummm... favourite pizza toppings?

besides not all young people are morons im only 16 and i never do anything stupid in games... thats like saying all the older people cant play due to... i dont know being old?.. anyways you get my point

Too true. You can always tell who the attention driving, spoiled, egotistical little teenage pricks are by the ones who draw "genitalia" on the map, and by the ones who sit in ascalon or wherever; ranting about how life sucks and this game is their only means of life. (ive seen it, and it's hillarious, on a sidenote)
The more immature crowd is never the stereotypical view of young'uns, however. It just depends on how they feel they can act in an enviornment that appears to have little consequence for acting like a <(insert random angry word/words here)>, and is not always based on age.

Immaturity sucks. Too many people haven't realized that yet; and they haven't realized that they aren't "cool" when they act it.

And I agree with you whole-heartedly. I'm 17 (I think I've said this already...?) and tend to act a little immature, but it's never in a "haha, i dru a penis on teh map!" kind of way.

I'm immature in the "gutter minded" kind of way (sounds kind of controdictive to my last statement...), but if it bothers people, I just stop -- why persist and be a mule about it?

I'm also very random. I'll be serious one moment, not too serious the next. You have to play with me to find out what I'm talking about exactly, but I'm pretty sure you get the picture.

Anyway, immaturity is t3h r0z0rs, you just have to find the right kind of immaturity. Like me, I'm not a kid anymore but I still throw myself down the stairs on a regular basis just to see how strong my bones are. None broken yet! I have grown horns on my legs though. Mature people are usually just boring. I hate maturity. Why do you think kids hate grown-ups? Because of some kind of unthinkable size envy? Or because adults are BORING? Yeah. You know the answer.

Additionally, as demonstrated by my flying lessons, immaturity has nothing to do with age. Not physical age anyway. There are perfectly mature (and thus by extension, boring) 14 year olds, and perfectly immature 30 year olds.

Just because milk has more hormones in it doesn't mean you should be growing up any faster. 10 years ago we weren't into computers as much and ended up doing a lot more things in general. It was more based on having fun and being immature, all the while enjoying one helva great time. =)

personally, i dont care how old you are, as long as you arent an idiot. im almost 19, and i play with people in their twenties and people that are 14. what i really cant stand, no matter the age, is humor at innapropriate times. such as when the whole party's about to die in the UW, the monk is running for his life, and some dead idiot tank starts drawing boobies on the map. that is not funny at that point in time. sure if we were all doing great and had a morale boost and were having a good time, it might be a bit humorous. but please, if you do feel like being the funny woman/man in the group, choose the appropriate times to joke. thank you.
